The average weather is about 70 degrees Fahrenheit, which is ideal beach weather. The reviews of the beach at Castro Valley are all outstanding. The gates are open from March to November from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, and December to February open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. 

Cull Canyon is located on the Chabot to Garin Regional Trail and is being developed between 2 parks. The trailhead winds up the east side of the Cull Canyon Reservoir and continues for roughly 6 miles into the East Bay Municipal Utility District to EBMUD’S Chabot area, and continues to the Willow View trail, that ultimately leads to the Anthony Chabot Regional Park.
